Five Saturdays, April 11 – May 16, 2026 | 9–11 am PT / 12–2 pm ET | Free & Virtual
A five-week creative coding camp for educators, artists, and practitioners who want to learn p5.js, build expressive sketches, and find a community of people doing the same thing.
No prior experience with p5.js required. Some coding background helpful but not essential.
The arc runs shapes → motion → patterns → data → expression. Each session builds on the last, but every session also stands alone — participants who miss a week can catch up via recording before the next one.
Three levels, one room. Every session offers three versions of each assignment: Foundation (get something on the canvas), Exploration (push the idea further), and Classroom Adaptation (redesign the prompt for your students). Same conversation, different depth.
Sessions 1 and 2 are fixed. Sessions 3–5 were shaped by participant interest, gathered via a short poll after Session 1. The sequence is now confirmed: patterns/loops → data → open studio.
Async path. Each session is recorded and posted by Sunday. A single catch-up prompt lets async participants stay connected between live sessions.
